A new Free Kings Quest Game

I just found this article at Maximum PC about a community made sequel to the Kings Quest seires.  Even Robert Williams gave it thumbs up.  Best of all is that it’s free.  Click the link below to see the article or watch the movie.

Have you notice Steam’s new catch phrase.

So Valves Steam is having the summer sale and I was just dying because I have no money.  Check out the site if you don’t know what steam is.  http://store.steampowered.com/

As I was browsering though I saw this at the bottom of there page.

If you can’t read it it says: There have been more than 2,251 unprovoked shark attacks reported worldwide.  There are no reported deaths or injury as a result of playing steam.

Couldn’t help but laugh and thought I would share.

Browser war heating up again. This time IE 9 vs Chrome

Things are getting better.  I love this browser war that is currently going on.  For those that don’t know.  Ever since Google Chrome has come out, things in the browser would have heated up a lot.  If you want to be a browser of the future you need two things;  HTML 5 Compatibility and speed.

Why does this matter, for one, if you’ve never created a web page before you don’t understand the headache you get from trying to make very browser happy.  HTML 5 compatibility means less headache and more cool features.  Second speed, is always good.

So why am I making this post.  Because I just read an article at Maximum PC on how IE 9 Beta is beating Chrome on Canvas speed.  We are talking an HTML 5 aspect better on Internet Explorer.  Now I really don’t support Internet Explorer because Microsoft has never really done a good job with it.  Most people use it, just because it is already on there computer.  But with IE coming around, this will make web developers life easier and users life full of more fun.  To me it is a win, win.

Again post with videos always seem to do better. So here is a video showing the IE 9 Beta vs Google Chrome.

Found a free music composition and notation program.

I’m not musician, but I know my dad has been wanting a copy of Finale for a long time.  He is just to cheap to buy it and I’m to cheap to buy it for him.

Then today, I ran across this opensource version that seems to be perfect.  The software is called MuseScore and it is completely free (Well of course it is free, it’s opensource, I just know some of you people don’t know what opensource means.)

I know you people like videos so here is an into to it and here is the link to the homepage.

Google buzz auto added my wordpress blog. Wow!

So I was checking my mail and I noticed that google buzz was syndicating my personal wordpress blog and I didn’t do a thing to add it. Way nice. Wish all my software read my mind.

If you don’t know what Google Buzz is, think of it as Goggles version of Twiter. But the emphasis again on goggles version. It is more of a social aggregator, as it will also show your twiter tweets. Apparently also my personal web blog too. It is kinda hard to explain if you haven’t tried it out your self. If you have gmail you can already try it out yourself.

One of the reasons I like google buzz so much is because I only have to log into one place to check every thing. If I could just get it to show my friends facebook feed I wouldn’t even need to browse the web.

Gmail, Reader, and Buzz would do everything for me.

You can check out my buzz fead by going too my Google profile.
